The crowning of the Queen and King at 9:30 a.m. Saturday will open the festivities of the day, followed at 10 a.m. with a parade led by the Central Methodist College Marching Band and thirteen high school bands, and floats sponsored by the various social clubs and independent clubs of the college.
The high school bands participating will be awarded trophies on the basis of playing music, making a column movement and general block band marching. Trophies will be awarded for A, B, an C class bands.
The high school bands who have indicated they would participate are: Class A, Fulton, Jefferson City, and Truman High School, Independence; Class B, Brookfield, Carrollton, Moberly and Shelbina. Class C, Butler, Fayette, Higginsville, Tipton, and Huntsville.
Members of the classes of 1950 and 1955 will hold reunions, and at 2 p.m. the Central Eagles will meet Rose Poly on Davis Field for the annual Homecoming game.
Following the game, various social clubs are planning open house activities for alumni of the college. The concluding activity of the day will be the Homecoming dance to be held at the college student union at 8 p.m.
