Fayette, Mo. October i5th is the Central Methodist College HoMecoming. Activities will be initiated with a bonfire the evening of October 14. Saturday's
activities of the 15th will begin with the coronation by the Student Body President, Doug Weber of Independence, at 9:30 a.m, followed by theĀ Homecoming Parade. The Float Theme is "Record Albums".
10:45 a.m. marks the start of the Annual Band Pageant featuring some of the following high school bands: Westran of Huntsviiie, Tipton, Fayette, Higginsville, South Shelby County, Washington, Liberty, Fulton, Jefferson City, and the Fayette Junior High School Band. A winner will be declared and trophies awarded at the half time of the Homecoming Game.
The much improved central Methodist College Eagles will meet the Culver-Stockton Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. in what can be expected to be a hard-hitting football thriiier as both squads have shown much ability in previous games.
Featured in the half-time show will be the winner of the Band Pageant and the Central Methodist College Marching Band under the direction of Dr. Joseph Labuta. Featured twirler with the CMC Marching Band is Fran Belt of Bridgeton. Miss Belt in I2 years of twirling has won 109 metals, 225 trophies, and the titles: Miss Gateway to the West and Miss Majorette of Missouri.
Rounding out the Homecoming events at 8:00 p.m. is the Homecoming Dance featuring The Counts of Memphis, Tennessee Little Walter Scott & the Guise (St. Louis).
The following students will be chairmen of Homecoming under the direction of the Vice-President of the Student Body, Dena Nussbaum of New Madrid: Fred Bloomfield of Jefferson City, General Chairman of Homecoming Events; Pat Wendliog of St. Louis,and Judy Apel also of St. Louis, Co-Chalrmen of Coronation; Rose Fulton of Kansas City and Terry Grebe of New Franklin, Dance; Jim Liner of St. Louis, Parade.
Others are Dale Rlebold of House Springs, Floats; Tom Kelly of St. Louis, tickets; Kim Holmes of St. Louis and Linda Roche of St. Charles, Posters, signs, & Bonfire.
