CMC Homecoming
Set for Oct. 7

FAYETTE, Mo. -- This small community of 3,500 will be the scene of much color and pagentry Saturday (Oct. 7) as Central Methodist College observes its annual Homecoming celebration. More than 8, 000 invitations have been mailed to alumni around the country and a large crowd is expected to be on hand for the event.

Highlights of the day will include the traditional parade, special reunions for the class of 1957, 1962 and 1967, recognition of the 1910 and 1934 championship football teams, a football game with Baker University, and a dance in the evening.

Several changes have been made in the Homecoming schedule this year. Band Day, which has been held in conjunction with Homecoming for the past nine years, has now been scheduled as a separate event and will be held Oct.28. Band Day in recent years has drawn up to 24 bands with a combined total of more
than 2,000 high school students. The logistical and scheduling problems involved with having both events at the same time had become almost impossible to handle.

The new arrangement will permit the parade to get underway at the more convenient hour of 10:30 a.m.
It will wend its way through the streets of
